・あやふやなことを言う speak ambiguously [evasively]; use ambiguous [evasive] expressions [language]; equivocate; prevaricate; beat around [about] the bush; mince one's words

・彼はあやふやなことは言わない人だ. He is a person who doesn't express himself in vague terms. | He is not a person to mince words [beat around the bush]. | He (is someone who) always speaks his mind plainly.
